Be On Time, Every Time

Simply put, don’t be late. Whenever you set an appointment to meet with a prospect or plan a training meeting with some of your associates, you absolutely must be on time every time. When you are building a network marketing business you must be as professional as possible. People are going to be naturally skeptical and every thing you do that makes you seem more serious, more organized or more believable will help your success rate.

Here are some tips that can help you to make sure you are always on time for your appointments.

1. Plan For The Unexpected – Always add at least 25% to your estimated travel time. Even if you know exactly where you’re going, leave extra time just in case you run into unexpected traffic.

2. Cell Phone Numbers – You absolutely must have the cell phone number of the person you are going to meet. Just in case of an emergency, the last thing you ever want to do is no-show someone. It will cause negative feedback to travel in circles and will probably come back to you again in the future. So make sure to call if you are going to be late.

3. Multiple Copies of Directions – Don’t just trust mapquest or your GPS receiver. Make sure that you have at least 3 different sets of directions if you are going to some place where you have never been before.

4. Bring A Book – Make sure that you always have something good to read when you are going on appointments. Because you plan on getting their early, you most always will get there early. Take advantage of this time by being productive. Many people cannot find the time to read as much as they like, but they don’t think to bring a book with them on their appointment.

So be prompt. You want to have the reputation that if you say you are going to be someplace, then you will be there no matter what. People will begin to develop a trust level with you that will serve you well as you grow your network marketing business. Good Luck!
