Power Of The Spoken Word

The words that we speak have enormous power in our lives. Many people don’t realize just how powerful they are. They can create peace or they can bring us to war. They can bring families together or they can tear them apart. For those in the network marketing business it is absolutely critical to constructively use this power to help your business grow. Realize that these are not new ideas. They have been around and been written about by philosophers for hundreds if not thousands of years. Here are some tips of how you can put the power of the spoken work to use for yourself:

  1. Speak Your Goals Daily – At least once per day you should be speaking your goals out loud. If you don’t have any goals written down, then do that first. Then, once you have them written out take some time to read them out loud every day.
  2. Talk about where you’re headed – Whenever possible talk about your future and what it is going to look like. Talk about what your business will look like in 6 months. Talk about how much income you will be making in one year. If people give you a hard time, don’t worry about it. Keep speaking your future.
  3. Speaking about setbacks – When you have setbacks in your business don’t let them keep you down. Talk about them as being “temporary challenges” or “opportunities for improvement.” These words will tell the universe what your situation really is and your business will be on the rebound in no time.
  4. Avoid absolutes – Avoid saying things like the following: “I’ll never make it.” “I always make these mistakes.” “I can’t do this.” “No one makes money at this.” These kinds of statements are poisonous. They can and will hurt your chances of succeeding in anything you do. Avoid them at all costs.

All in all, try to pay attention to all the words you actually say in a day. For some of you this will be easy, but for other it will be quite challenging. Act as if every word you say will absolutely come true, whether it is good or bad. It really makes you start to think about how you describe situations.
